At the age of 41, Hilary Burton joins the movement of celebrities who embrace their white hair, like her colleagues Andy McDowell or Sarah Jessica Parker. “I let things grow,” she confirms on an episode of the American show The scene aired Thursday, October 5, 2023 on ABC, where she appears with silver roots mixed in with her blonde lengths. “It’s weird when you’re a teenage drama actress, you’re expected to be 17 forever. And I don’t necessarily like my teenage years, I experienced some pretty dark things,” says Peyton Sawyer’s translator. Dying her white locks is out of the question for Hilary Burton, who is happy to look like her ‘heroines’ – actresses Bea Arthur, Ruth Gordon and Betty White. “That’s what I wanted to be. So having early gray hair was a relief,” she admits.
The host then points out to her that her new hair style is “trendy”, thus linking her to the recent phenomenon of celebrity acceptance of her gray hair. “Well, that’s good. We are going to conquer the world,” the mother of two children was happy to conclude the topic.
