And he had to do this before Friday, October 6th.
This was announced by the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy Yaroslav Yurchyshyn on October 9.
After the petition of Alexander Yabchenko and the veto of the President, the Rada voted “FOR” an open register of declarations. The voting took place on September 20, and on September 26, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada sent the Law to the President for signature. Vladimir Zelensky was supposed to sign the Law within ten days, that is, until October 6, but he still has not done so. Accordingly, the bill on the resumption of e-declaration, voted again, did not come into force, Yurchyshyn emphasized.
He is sure that the signing of such an important law is only a matter of time, but Ukraine does not have it now. Already in October we can expect conclusions from the European Commission on Ukraine’s implementation of the recommendations.
The faster the president’s signature is, the stronger our position will be in negotiations on accession to the European Union,” the deputy noted.
On September 20, at the second attempt, the Council agreed to open the register of e-declarations. Then the parliament adopted the law on e-declaration, taking into account the veto of President Zelensky.
The president’s proposals call for opening the registry in less than 60 days.
