Approximately 2 thousand officials have not been allowed to leave Ukraine since the ban on travel for “non-state purposes” (January 23).

    .

These people did not go on a business trip, did not fall under the exception when single parents can visit their children and did not need treatment outside the country, Andriy Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Service, told Interfax-Ukraine.

Officials left either for official business trips or accompanying their children.

Earlier, Demchenko reported that border guards had already exposed more than 6,900 people who tried to cross the border with fake documents.

Another 15.5 thousand “migrants” were detained outside checkpoints.

Meanwhile, female doctors, who must register with the military from October 1, will be able to travel abroad. A representative of the State Tax Service said on the eve of October 1 that restrictions continue to apply for men aged 18-60 years, as well as for officials (this norm applies to both men and women).

On January 27, 2023, the government banned officials from leaving Ukraine without valid reasons. Since then, people’s deputies, officials, representatives of local authorities, prosecutors, judges and many other officials can cross the state border on official business trips. It is also possible to travel abroad for negotiations, for treatment, or to care for minor children, but not for vacation.
