British intelligence data from October 4 suggests that Russia may continue to target civilian shipping in the Black Sea, including planting sea mines in approaches to Ukrainian ports. The aggressor wants to jeopardize ships following the Ukrainian “humanitarian corridor” and thus put pressure on the Ukrainian economy. This was reported by the British Foreign Office.
It is noted that the aggressor country wants to avoid the open sinking of civilian ships, and falsely accuses Ukraine of any attacks on civilian ships in the Black Sea. That is why the British decided to make information about the bombing public in order to prevent such aggressive actions by Russia.
According to British authorities, after withdrawing from the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the Russian Federation damaged 130 port infrastructure facilities in Odessa, Chernomorsk and Reni. About 300 thousand tons of Ukrainian grain were destroyed by missile and UAV strikes. This amount of grain would be enough to feed more than 1.3 million people for a year.
Earlier it was reported that the three main Black Sea ports of Ukraine resumed receiving ships exporting grain. The ships sail to the main Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea despite threats from the aggressor country Russia, which promised to open fire on them.
