He said that “usually everything unpleasant happens suddenly,” and expressed surprise at what awaits thousands of Russian civilians in Crimea.
Citizens of the Russian Federation, civilians in the occupied Crimea, must immediately leave the peninsula, because thousands of people will not be able to do so at once when the fighting starts. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Irina Vereshchuk wrote this on Thursday, September 28, in Telegram.
He emphasized that “usually everything unpleasant happens suddenly” and people may find themselves in a situation where they have to go immediately.
“When the Crimean Bridge falls, and it’s a matter of time, it’s clear, when the land corridor is cut, when land battles begin on the peninsula, what will they do?” – wrote Vereshchuk.
Vereshchuk stressed that thousands of civilians will not be able to leave the peninsula immediately – with the routes cut off, when there will be fighting around.
“Therefore, I am begging the Russians who are illegally on the peninsula. Staying in Ukrainian Crimea is dangerous for you. Go. Don’t be vain,” he added.
Earlier, the Ministry for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine called on Ukrainians to temporarily leave the territories of occupied Crimea.
