Now the militants are present on the territory of the Eastern Group of Forces, because some of the mercenaries are renewing contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense and returning to the war. The command of the aggressor country plans to involve about 500 Wagner troops in combat operations. The head of the press service of the Eastern Group of Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ilya Yevlash, stated this in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine.
We confirm that the Wagnerites are present on the territory of the Eastern Group of Forces. These are servicemen of the Wagner PPK who were on the territory of Belarus. Now their camps there will be disbanded. There were about 8 thousand of them there. Now some of these militants have left for Africa, and some are renewing contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense and returning here, he noted.
He convinces that these militants now do not pose the same threat as they did before. At the same time, Yevlash emphasized that these occupiers are among the best trained in the Russian army.
Let us recall that at the end of August, a representative of the Wagner PIK recommended that the mercenaries find another job, since the group can no longer participate in the war in Ukraine and faces serious competition from the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard in Africa and the Middle East.
