Aid in the form of fertilizers worth $5 million was provided by the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) provides Ukrainian agricultural enterprises with 12 thousand tons of fertilizers for the autumn sowing campaign. Aid in the form of fertilizers worth $5 million was provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea, reports Ukrinform.
Micro, small and medium-sized agricultural producers will get minimum fertilizers through the USAID Agricultural and Rural Development (AGRO) Program. Each participant in the program will receive one ton of nitroammophoska (NPK 16:16:16/15:15:15) for the main and pre-sowing application, which can be done through the State Agrarian Register.
“Russia’s war on agriculture affects every aspect of the industry, including fertilizers. By 2023, we see a 60% decrease in fertilizers due to lack of funding and access. So today’s event in cooperation with Korea and Ukraine is an important step in solving this problem,” said US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink.
Let us remind you that Ukrainian farmers use more than 120,000 hectares of cleared land.
Earlier it was reported that the planting of winter wheat was suspended in the Odessa region due to drought.
