Today, September 27, the High Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure for the former head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
“It was reported that a preventive measure was chosen for one of the suspects in the case of misappropriation of more than 88 million UAH during the reconstruction of the administrative building of the State Migration Service of Ukraine,” – the former head of the resource department and economic support and capital construction of the State Migration Service.
“The court partially granted the petition and chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 805.2 thousand – this is the maximum amount provided by law for this crime,” the report said.
The suspect must go to the investigator, prosecutor and court when requested; not to leave Kyiv and the Kyiv region without the permission of the investigator, prosecutor or court; inform the investigator, prosecutor and court about changes in your place of residence and work; avoid talking to other suspects in the case and witnesses; deposit with the relevant government authority your passport(s) for travel abroad, other documents giving the right to leave Ukraine / enter Ukraine; wear an electronic monitoring device.
The duties assigned to the suspect are valid until November 21, 2023.
Earlier it was reported that former officials of the Migration Service and a businessman from the Russian Federation were suspected of embezzlement.
