He wrote about this on his Facebook page.
Danilov emphasized that the best option for Russian military personnel would be the voluntary sinking of the fleet.
There are two future options for the Russian Black Sea Fleet – voluntary or forced self-liquidation. The best and safest way out for preserving the integrity of the property and economic complex of the city of Akhtiar (the old name is Sevastopol) and adjacent territories is voluntary flooding. Glorious Russian military reflections – the destruction of one’s own fleet when the enemy approaches – must have an extension in time and a tradition of continuity, Danilov is convinced.
According to him, by choosing the second option, the Russian Black Sea Fleet is “sliced like a salami: the process is painful, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine deliver high-precision strikes exclusively against military infrastructure.”
