Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky met with Canadian businessmen. This meeting took place in Toronto with the participation of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the press service of the Ukrainian head of state reported on Saturday, September 23.

It was stated that the main topic of the meeting was investment in Ukraine for wartime reconstruction.

“We are very interested in your coming to Ukraine, very interested in restoring Ukraine – this is what we need now. These are all areas where you are strong. We are interested in your work, business and technology,” Zelensky said to leading companies operating in the investment, banking, export, as well as the construction, energy, and technology sectors.

For his part, Trudeau spoke of the importance of economic support for Ukraine.

“There is a lot that needs to be done in terms of humanitarian and military aid. But there is also a lot that needs to be done in economic terms. Therefore, I am glad that we can discuss this with President Zelensky,” said the Prime Minister of Canada.
