The American official noted that Biden hopes to meet with Zelensky to hear about the offensive and the development of the Defense Forces.
“A kind of his (Zelensky – ed.) own assessment of what the situation on the battlefield looks like. When the United States says that it will stay in Ukraine as long as necessary, the Ukrainians must understand that the support will continue, ” he emphasized.
According to him, the meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and the United States will take place at a “critical time.”
Zelensky will also visit the US Congress as American lawmakers also want to hear from Zelensky about progress on the battlefield, Kirby added.
