MTR operators are involved in identifying targets, directing and adjusting fire on ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
Special Operations Forces soldiers assisted in the attack on the temporarily occupied Sevastopol in Crimea, where two Russian ships were destroyed. The Command of the MTR of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Saturday, September 16.
It is indicated that information has been received from several sources about the likely location of the large landing ship “Minsk” and the diesel-electric submarine “Rostov-on-Don” at the ship repair yard in Sevastopol.
MTR operators are involved in identifying targets, directing and coordinating fire. Using boats, the group approached a safe place and, thanks to underwater equipment, reached the shore. In the area, the soldiers, using special reconnaissance equipment, identified the target, aimed and adjusted fire, and then confirmed the destruction of the targets.
“The specified material was published after some time, taking into account operational security and making the enemy understand that there is no safe place for them anywhere,” MTR said.
As you know, on September 13, the Ukrainian military attacked a ship repair plant in Sevastopol. The diesel-electric submarine Rostov-on-Don and the landing ship Minsk were damaged. The first pictures of the wrecked ships appeared the same day.
