Ammunition from North Korea could help Russia buy time, giving Russian industry a chance to catch up with the military’s needs.
North Korea has been sending 122 mm and 152 mm shells to the Russians for a month and a half, as well as Grad MLRS missiles. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, said this on Wednesday, September 13, against the background of the visit of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un to Russia to meet with Vladimir Putin, writes NV.
“The DPRK has been supplying weapons to the Russian Federation for a month and a half,” Budanov assured.
Let’s remember that in the West it is not excluded that the weapons of North Korea and their supplies to the Russian Federation became the main topic during the meeting of the dictators in eastern Russia. At the same time, they do not confirm supply information.
Note that the United States called on North Korea not to support Russia’s war against Ukraine and warned that “if Pyongyang helps Moscow kill Ukrainians, then Washington will act and deal with it accordingly.”
Ukrainian intelligence believes that Putin asked the leader of the DPRK for military assistance. Russia really needs ammunition and weapons from the USSR era for the war in Ukraine.
