This was reported by the press service of the EU Council.
Restrictive measures include a travel ban for individuals, the provision of funds or other economic resources to individuals and legal entities in Russia, as well as an asset freeze. Sanctions will be in effect at least until March 15, 2024 on almost 1,800 individuals and legal entities in response to the unjustified military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
As part of the review of the sanctions, the EU Council decided not to continue the inclusion of four individuals on the list.
The EU will continue to provide strong financial, economic, humanitarian, military and diplomatic support to Ukraine and its people as long as it is necessary, the department noted.
Let us remind you that Reuters previously reported that the European Union refused to extend sanctions against three Russian businessmen. We are talking about Grigory Berezkin, Farhad Akhmedov and the ex-head of Ozon Alexander Shulgin.
