Today, September 12, the government allocated an additional almost 135.5 million UAH from the state budget reserve fund. to provide drinking water to Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Nikolaev and Kherson regions, where water supply systems were significantly damaged as a result of the terrorist attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric station. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko noted that earlier the government made some decisions in the regions affected by the terrorist attack. One of these solutions is allocated about UAH 845 million for Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Nikolaev and Kherson regions, but the consequences of the terrorist attack turned out to be worse than predicted and more complicated and expensive technical solutions are needed.
“That is why today we have allocated an additional 135.5 million UAH for this work,” Sviridenko said.
In general, the government allocated UAH 980.5 million for measures to ensure the transportation of drinking water in these four regions (considering today’s decision): for work in the Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 295.1 million, in Zaporozhye – 26.3 million UAH, in the Nikolaev Region – 274.6 million UAH, in the Kherson region – 384.5 million UAH.
We remind you that on the night of June 6, Russian troops blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, which caused large-scale flooding in the territories of the Kherson region and caused great environmental, economic and humanitarian damage to Ukraine.
