The role of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children was crucial in celebrating the start of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee Week, which marked the stunning 70 years on the 96-year-old monarch’s throne.
The children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – took part in a carriage for the first time to celebrate Queen Trooping the Color.
George, Charlotte and Louis rode in a wheelchair with their mother and the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla. Three young men wearing coordinating blue colors enthusiastically greeted the spectators of the parade.
The children have already participated in Trooping the Color and are already flying to the balcony with other members of the royal family. But this is the first time they have joined a wheelchair.
Other carriages of the royal family included Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex and their two children, and Admiral Tim Lawrence, wife of Princess Anne.
After the wheelchair ride, members of the royal family joined the family in the Major General’s office, where Megan Markle and Prince Harry watched the parade. Meanwhile, Prince Charles accompanied his sister, Princess Anne, and his son Prince William, to visit the House of Commons on behalf of the queen.
The queen herself did not participate in the parade. He recently had mobility issues and received a greeting from the balcony of Buckingham Palace. He was accompanied by his cousin, the Duke of Kent.
The monarch later appeared on the balcony to fly in the Royal Air Force along with serving members of the royal family: Charles and Camilla; William, Katie and their three children; Edward, Countess of Wessex, and their two children; Anna and Timothy Lawrence, Duke and Duchess of Gloucester; And the Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra.
Buckingham Palace announced in May that only members of the working class royal family could go out on the balcony. This did not include the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the humiliated Prince Andrew.
