Lawmaker Louis Gomert (Texas) thinks the accusation against Peter Navarro, a Trump administration aide, in a disrespectful allegation on Friday is a sad sign that America is ruined.
It’s not because the Texas congressman believes Navarro should support the law and cooperate with the House Select Committee’s investigation into the U.S. Capitol uprising, but because Navarro’s arrest on Friday means Republicans may need to to tell the truth to Congress or law enforcement.
Navarro was dropped from a plane at Washington Zone airport on Friday after contempt of court charges were dropped. He later appeared before a judge, who released him on condition that he inform the court before leaving.

Gohmert, a former lawyer and judge, said Navarro was a victim of a “two-tier judicial system”.
He said he was particularly outraged by Navarro’s allegations the same week that jurors acquitted Michael Susman, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign lawyer, on charges of lying to the FBI.

However, many Twitter users noticed that Gomert was simply angry because his partymates were not allowed to speak under oath.

It was an emotional week for Gohmert, who went viral on Thursday after convicting Congressman Eric Svaluel (D-Calypso) for not wanting to see possible solutions to gun violence as a sign of support. The killers were more than just school children.
“How dare you? You thought we didn’t have a heart,” Gomert said.
