The main oil and gas revenue of the Russian budget for eight months reached 4.8 trillion rubles, which decreased by 38.2%.
The Russian federal budget in January-August of this year was executed with a deficit of 2.361 trillion rubles, or 1.5% of GDP. The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation announced this on Friday, September 8.
“According to preliminary estimates, the volume of revenues of the federal budget in January-August 2023 reached 16.990 billion rubles, which is 3.5% less than the volume of revenue receipts for the same period in 2022. At the same time of this, in terms of key oil and gas revenues – both the federal budget and and the budget system as a whole – there is a stable positive trend,” said the report.
At the same time, it was stated that the main budget revenues of oil and gas amounted to 4.8 trillion rubles, a decrease of 38.2%. This is due to the high base of comparison last year, a drop in Urals oil prices, lower prices and a reduction in natural gas export volumes.
At the same time, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation claims that non-oil and gas budget revenues reached 12.1 trillion rubles and increased by 24.2%.
It is known that the planned budget deficit of Russia for 2023 is 2.9 trillion rubles.
Let’s remember that in the first half of 2023, Russia’s oil and gas revenue fell by almost 50%. Currently, the Russian Federation is trying to stimulate the increase in oil prices.
In particular, in early July, the aggressor country announced a reduction in oil exports to foreign markets.
