“The decision to conduct exercises with the United States is a sovereign decision of Armenia. I understand that different parties may have concerns and express dissatisfaction. The decision taken is also a reaction and a result of deepening Armenian-American relations,” Khanhandayan told reporters.
According to him, Armenia seeks to improve relations with the United States in all areas.
Khandanyan said the exercises are aimed at improving Armenian-American cooperation in international peacekeeping missions.
Earlier on Wednesday, it became known that the Eagle Partner-2023 joint exercises with the Americans will be held in Armenia in September. They will take place on the basis of the training center of the peacekeeping brigade of the Armenian Defense Ministry Zar. The Kremlin said such news was cause for concern.
