Analysts from NMFTE, who released the video with the installation, said that these ZU-23-2CPs were made in 2022.
Tests of Polish anti-aircraft installations were carried out at one of the training grounds.
Such installations are manufactured by the Polish company Zakłady Mechaniczne Tarnów, which is part of the Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa.
The ZU-23-2CP is a version of the ZU-23 twin anti-aircraft gun developed in the USSR.
“Military” writes that the installations are designed to deal with air targets flying at low altitudes.
Customers appreciate the system, first of all, for its reliability, efficiency and ease of use, – they say in the company.
The maximum target engagement range is 2500 m, the height is up to 1500 m.
ZU-23-2CP provides target destruction with 23 mm armor-piercing inflammatory tracer (HEI-T), armor-piercing sub-caliber tracer (APDS-T and FAPDS-T) ammunition.
Of the differences from the usual Soviet ZU-23-2 was the mass, which decreased by 100 kg to 850 kg, the barrel life increased from 3 to 5 thousand, and the life of the machine increased from 6 to 10 thousand, it can be towed at a speed of 90 km and more without compromising the plant itself,” said NMFTE analysts.
The disadvantage was the absence of the ZAP-23 anti-aircraft sight, which makes it difficult to shoot at air targets, but this is offset by the presence of a new sight for shooting at ground targets.
