The new aid package includes AIM-9 missiles for air defense, ammunition, mine-clearing equipment, Javelins and other anti-tank systems and missiles.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Tuesday, August 29, announced that the United States is providing a $250 million military aid package to Ukraine.
“Today we are announcing the next package of military aid to help Ukraine defend its territory and its people. This package contains important weapons that will help Ukraine on the battlefield,” he said.
The new aid package includes:

missiles AIM-9 for air defense;

ammunition for the highly mobile artillery rocket system (HIMARS);

155 mm and 105 mm artillery shells;
-
means demining;
-
Javelin and other anti-tank systems and missiles;
-
more than 3 million small arms cartridges;
-
ambulances;
-
explosive ammunition for clearing interference;
-
spare parts, service, training and transport.
According to Blinken, this package of weapons and equipment, worth $250 million, is being implemented as part of the aid previously earmarked for Ukraine.
He assured that the United States, allies and partners will support Ukraine as long as necessary.
Earlier, the media wrote that the United States planned to provide Kyiv cluster shells with a longer range.
Recall that the United States allocated another package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of $200 million.
