In Dnipro, patrol officers shot and killed a man who attacked and beat them after the police stopped his car. The National Police of Ukraine confirmed the use of weapons by patrol officers on Ivan Mazepa Avenue in the Dnieper.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police on Facebook.
According to preliminary information, the patrolmen stopped the car for a check. A conflict arose between the policemen and the driver, as a result of which the latter attacked the law enforcement officers and began to beat him. One of the patrolmen used firearms.
As noted by the local publication, the man died at the scene from his injuries. Now the police, forensic experts, a forensic laboratory, as well as employees of the State Bureau of Investigation work there. Investigations are ongoing.
An internal investigation into the use of service firearms by a patrol policeman has also been scheduled. Currently, the patrols are suspended from their duties.
The law enforcement officer involved in abuse of office was detained in accordance with Art. 208 Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation. The issue of reports of suspicion is being resolved, – Dnepropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing, all the circumstances of the case are being clarified.
