Three military pilots who died in a plane crash in the Zhytomyr region on August 25 were awarded new military ranks.

This was announced today, on August 29, in his Telegram channel by the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk.
Military pilots who tragically died during a combat mission in the Zhytomyr region on August 25, 2023 were presented for state awards, Oleshchuk noted.
He also said that he issued an order to confer military ranks:
- Major Vyacheslav Mintsy – “lieutenant colonel”;
- Major Sergei Prokazin – “lieutenant colonel”;
- captain Andrey Pilshchikov – “major”.
- “Unfortunately, posthumously,” Oleshchuk added.
Recall that the DBR called three versions of the causes of the crash in the Zhytomyr region.
