A Lithuanian-German joint working group is currently working on a plan for the deployment of a military brigade.
“By the end of this quarter, we will have a plan. I am convinced that we will go to the implementation phase at the beginning of 2024. We must prepare the appropriate conditions. Since 2017, Germany has been leading the international NATO battalion in Lithuania. The Bundeswehr intends to grow this unit to the size of a brigade.
