The Russian Federation said the Belgorod region was “attacked by Ukrainian drones,” which it said fired at the Russian military. This was announced on Monday, August 28 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“At about 23:00 Moscow time, another attempt by the ‘Kyiv regime’ to carry out a ‘terrorist attack’ by an aircraft-type UAV against facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation was thwarted,” said the Russian Defense Ministry in a statement.
As the Russian Interfax agency added, the Russian military destroyed another “Ukrainian” aircraft-type drone in the Belgorod region.
The drone was reportedly shot down by Russian air defenses.
Recall that in Ukraine today three state defense plants have launched the production of FPV drones.
Earlier, the commander of the National Guard, Colonel Alexander Pivnenko, spoke about the fierce war of combat drones.
