According to preliminary information, the cause of the crash was a technical malfunction of the Russian aircraft.

A Russian Su-30 fighter jet crashed in the Kaliningrad region. The crew of two pilots were killed. Russian media reported this in connection with the Western Military District of the Russian Federation.

“On August 12, while conducting a training flight in the Kaliningrad region, a Su-30 aircraft crashed in a deserted area,” the report said.

The plane is said to be flying without ammunition.

“The plane’s crew died. According to preliminary information, a technical malfunction caused the crash,” added the military.

It will be recalled that in July, a MiG-31 fighter crashed in Russia’s Kamchatka Territory. He fell into the waters of Avacha Bay.

Earlier, a Russian Mi-28 attack helicopter crashed in temporarily occupied Crimea. Then two pilots died.
