Turkey could be one of the guarantee countries in terms of ensuring Ukraine’s security, the Turkish leader said.
Turkey is ready to be one of the countries guaranteeing Ukraine’s security, but you first need to clarify the details. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this, NTV reported on Thursday, March 31.
“We (Turkey – ed.) Can be one of the guarantor countries in terms of ensuring the security of Ukraine. However, of course, its details must be clarified,” said Erdogan.
He also announced the lack of change in Ankara’s position regarding sanctions against Russia.
“No action has been taken against Russia’s Turkey within the framework of this chain of sanctions,” Erdogan added.
Earlier, the Turkish leader said that in the near future he intends to hold a meeting between the presidents of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, and Russia, Vladimir Putin.
At the same time, Putin himself believes that the time for his meeting with Zelensky has not yet come, as the conditions for a ceasefire are not yet ripe.
Recall that after the talks in Istanbul, the Ukrainian delegation expressed the idea of †‹вЂ‹ new security guarantees for our country.
At the same time, US President Joe Biden declined to comment on Washington’s readiness to provide security guarantees to Ukraine.
