On the morning of August 9, a fire broke out in a cottage for people with disabilities in the French Wenzenheim (Haut-Rhin department). Nine people have been killed and two more are being sought, BFMTV reported.
It is known that the dead were discovered during the inspection of the burned building using a drone.
The fire occurred at about 07.00 Kyiv time in a private house located next to the Medical and Educational Therapeutic Institute La Forge. The association of the same name rents this house to help the disabled.
According to the channel, 28 people live in the cottage. There are no children among them, we are talking about adults from 27 to 50 years old.
17 people were evacuated, one required hospitalization.
French President Emmanuel Macron has already expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the victims, as well as to those injured in the fire.
