Harvesting has started in Ukraine, so in the near future the demand for export of agro-industrial products from Ukraine will increase significantly. Current export rates are unacceptably low.
In the 48th week of the grain agreement, from June 26 to July 2, 275.7 thousand tons of agricultural products were exported through the ports of the Odessa region, which is 23% less than the -47 weeks. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian club of agrarian business.
According to the Agrarian Business Club, within a week, 6 vessels were loaded in Ukrainian ports, which have not yet passed the necessary procedures to continue moving to their destinations. In addition, the number of ships passing entry inspection has decreased (4 ships in the past week).
It was noted that the harvest has started in Ukraine, therefore, in the near future, the demand for the export of agro-industrial products from Ukraine will increase significantly, and meanwhile, the current export rates is unacceptably low.
Most of everything during the 48th week of the “grain corridor” was exported: corn (share in the total export structure – 43%), wheat (23%) and sunflower oil (23%). Ukrainian products are sent to Asia (China, India and Turkey), Europe (Netherlands) and Africa (Djibouti).
Overall, since the start of the “grain corridor” from August 1, 2022 to July 2, 2023, Ukraine has exported 32.8 million tons of agricultural products.
