About 5,000 Metinvest employees from these cities have applied to continue working for the company.
The largest private company in Ukraine Metinvest lost business in temporarily occupied Mariupol and because of shelling the coke plant in Avdiivka was closed. Their employees are integrated into other businesses. The Group CEO said Metinvest Yuri Ryzhenkov in an interview published on Tuesday 4 July.
“Today, almost 5 thousand of our employees from these cities have applied that they want to work in the company, but only 1.5 thousand have found a job. Others are taking courses that can change their profession or improve their skills for new jobs. ,” said Ryzhenkov.
According to him, further integration is happening quickly, because all these people, metallurgists and miners work together and know the equipment and units, so they quickly adapt to the workplace.
“Many of them are waiting to go home. I know many who, for example, came from Mariupol to work in Zaporizhstal or Kametstal. They occupy normal positions, but dream of returning to Mariupol,” said the CEO.

“We have several initiatives working in this direction. Ryzhenkov remembered that too Metinvest through the project Save a life helping all other defenders of Ukraine with prosthetics and psychological rehabilitation.
