The Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodship Police Department, located in the Braniewo district, reported that at about 12:00 on June 30, it received a message from a local resident. The man noted that he found an object similar to a balloon. Police spokesman Rafal Yatskovsky said that the item seized at the scene was handed over to the military.
According to preliminary data, the object discovered today in the Braniewo region is a hot air balloon. Now the relevant authorities are conducting an investigation, the Polish Ministry of Defense said.
Recall that in mid-May, a balloon was recorded in the airspace of Poland, it flew from the territory of Belarus. The Polish military searched for a balloon in the area of the city of Kale. The object was found in a corn field 4 km from the village of Byala Peska, not far from which the training ground and a large military unit are located.
