The Prime Minister of Spain, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada, emphasized that Ukraine can count on long-term support.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who is visiting Kiev, said that Spain is allocating a new aid package for Ukraine in the amount of 55 million euros. He said this while speaking in the Verkhovna Rada, reports El Mundo.
According to Sanchez, Spain, as the EU presidency, will support the Ukrainian people.
“Today, July 1, Spain takes on a great responsibility for the Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the next six months,” he said.
The Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine can count on long-term support from Spain.
“I want to tell you that we are with you and we will be as long as necessary. I want to tell you that we will support Ukraine, regardless of the price,” he said.
It can be recalled that Spain sent 20 armored personnel carriers and repaired Leopard 2 to Ukraine.
