The drones that attacked Moscow on May 30 could have targeted houses inhabited by Russian intelligence officers.
This is reported by the American television company NBC, citing an unnamed American official and a source in the US Congress.
At least one of the apartment buildings attacked by the drone is linked to Russia’s foreign intelligence service, Strider Technologies, a startup that collects data based on open sources, told the broadcaster.
Whether any of the SVR employees were injured during the attacks is unknown.
This version contradicts the statements of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which claimed that the drones that got into high-rise buildings did not reach their goals due to the effective operation of electronic warfare.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that a total of eight drones were launched, three of which were suppressed by electronic warfare and fell, and five more, according to the agency, shot down Pantsir-S anti-aircraft systems.
Three drones, suppressed, according to the military, by electronic warfare, hit residential buildings in Moscow on Leninsky Prospekt, Profsoyuznaya Street and Atlasova Street in New Moscow.
At least one of the apartment buildings hit by drone strikes is linked to the Foreign Intelligence Service. The building belongs to a Russian state budgetary institution that has contracts with a military unit that is a front for the SVR.
