Ukraine does not have the right to strike with Western weapons at the points of deployment of Iskander operational-tactical missile systems, which are located on the territory of Russia, said Yury Ignat, a representative of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
We do not attack targets in Russia. As the leadership of the state says, there is a strategy – we promised our partners not to attack the armed ones that are provided to us, – he added.
However, the ban does not apply to temporarily occupied territories. There, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have the right to hit any objects of any type of weapons.
According to Ignat, Russia has a limited number of Iskanders.
They have a deficit. If they did not feel sorry for them, they would use hundreds of them, – said the representative of the Air Force.
Recall that this night Russia hit Ukraine from Klintsy in the Bryansk region. Flight time is a matter of minutes. That is why the air raid was not so long until the first air defense work. The warhead of the Iskanders is about 500 kg, the range of destruction is 500-600 km. Iskander-K is an analogue of Caliber, but land-based, not sea-based, Iskander-M is ballistics flying high up and from there returning down at high speed. The MIM-104 Patriot systems work on ballistics.
