Rostransnadzor said that last year Russian aviation carried out thousands of shipments with defective parts.
Russian carriers in 2022 will make more than 2,000 flights on Western aircraft. However, the spare parts and components of the aircraft have expired. This was reported by Rostransnadzor.
Last year, the agency identified more than 2,000 aircraft flights that used end-of-life spare parts and components.
Unscheduled inspections of the airlines showed a lack of parts and problems with the supply of consumables to Western aircraft.
Certain parts cannot be imported into Russia due to sanctions. Another part of the spare parts was delivered with a significant delay – instead of seven days, you have to wait up to 120 days.
A similar situation in the Russian Federation gave rise to “numerous facts of the operation of aviation equipment with violations that directly affect flight safety.”
The Russian agency did not specify whether it was only commercial or all types of air travel.
It will be recalled that the media previously said that spare parts for Boeing, Airbus and other aircraft manufacturers arrived in Russia last year to avoid sanctions.
