The court first sent the pensioner under house arrest. Now the woman has been found guilty of “desecration of graves motivated by political hatred.” Tsybaneva was assigned two years of probation.

The pensioner said during the trial that there was no “political hatred” in his actions.

“After watching the news, I was filled with fear, I felt very bad. He covered me so much that I couldn’t handle it, it was probably my fault,” the Russian woman explained her motive.
