This is stated in a letter of application signed by him addressed to the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak, which is at the disposal of the Radio Liberty project “Schemes”.
In Ukraine, Boguslaev is charged with complicity with the aggressor state, collaboration activities, assistance to the activities of a terrorist organization and, more recently, opposition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He is currently in jail and denies all charges.
Please add me to the list for an exchange with the Russian Federation, Boguslaev writes in a statement.
The document bears his signature with the note:
Boguslaev, pensioner, invalid of the 1st group.
His lawyer’s cover letter states the date of filing the application as March 20, 2023.
Earlier, adviser to the head of the presidential office, Mikhail Podolyak, did not rule out the possibility of exchanging Boguslayev. He recalled that in September last year, the traitor Medvedchuk was exchanged for 200 Ukrainian military prisoners. Vasily Malyuk, head of the Security Service of Ukraine, did not rule out the possibility of repeating such an exchange. According to him, the ex-president of “Motor Sich” must give all the necessary shows, and only then “will become a quality exchange fund.”
Recall that in the midst of a full-scale invasion of Russia, Boguslaev blocked the transfer of the Mi-2 helicopter to Ukrainian intelligence officers. In particular, he gave instructions to dismantle the board for spare parts and hide the documents necessary for its operation.
Boguslaev is in a pre-trial detention center in Kyiv, the court extended his detention until May 27, 2023.
Schemes also reported that Boguslaev has had a Russian passport since at least 2000 and real estate in Moscow since 2002.
