More than 1,200 consumers remain de-energized in the Chernihiv region as a result of the outage. There were also morning blackouts in the Kherson region.
As a result of the night and morning rocket attacks by the Russians, power plants and main networks were not damaged. Ukrenergo reported this on Tuesday, May 9.
At the same time, due to the shelling of the enemy, there were damages to the distribution networks of the border and front-line regions of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson, which continue to suffer from the enemy.
“In particular, in the Chernihiv region, as a result of the shelling, more than 1,200 consumers remain de-energized. Oblenergo teams are waiting for permission from the military to resume power. Also this morning in the Kherson region , as a result of the shelling , consumers were de-energized as a result of the shelling, whose power was restored only yesterday. Power engineers are working on the restoration,” – said the message.
At the same time, electricity production completely covers consumption in the country. Thanks to the constant water field, the hydroelectric power plants continue to work actively throughout the day. Wind and solar power plants also work well with the weather.
Electricity exports to Moldova and Poland continue. No imports into Ukraine.
Of all the backbone networks damaged by the Russian attacks, active repairs continue.
Recall that on the night of May 9, the Russian army attacked the territory of Ukraine with sea and air-based cruise missiles. Ukrainian defenders destroyed 23 out of 25 enemy targets. At the same time, in the Kyiv area, the air defense destroyed about 15 air targets.
