The UK is preparing to send Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine, capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 300 km. This was written by the American edition of the Washington Post with reference to a document published by the International Fund for Support of Ukraine, which coordinates the British Ministry of Defense.
In a May 2 purchase announcement, the UK MoD asked for an expression of interest in providing strike capabilities with a range of up to 300 km. The message required a response within three days, writes WP.
According to an unnamed British official, London has not yet made a final decision on the transfer of missiles. The type, timing or quantity of weapons that the armed forces of Ukraine can receive is also not announced. WP assumes that we are talking about the British Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles.
The publication also recalls that Pentagon documents leaked to social networks due to a recent data leak claimed that US intelligence confirmed Britain’s plans to send an unspecified number of Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine.
Recall that on December 15 last year, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that he did not rule out the supply of Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine.
