The head of the EC noted that he was pleased to return to the capital of Ukraine, where values dear to Europeans are defended every day.
“Therefore, it is a very appropriate place to celebrate Europe Day. I welcome President Volodymyr Zelensky’s decision to make May 9 Europe Day here in Ukraine as well,” von der Leyen wrote.
