The reconstruction of Ukraine has already begun, but it will require significant funding in the framework of international support.
$400 billion should be spent on restoring Ukraine after the Russian invasion. This was announced on Monday, May 1, by the German Ambassador to Ukraine, Anka Feldhusen, the press service of the Kyiv Security Forum reports.
“The government of Ukraine, together with the EU and the World Bank, have estimated that the financial needs for the reconstruction of the current lost and damaged property will reach more than $400 billion in the next decade,” said Feldhusen .
According to him, the restoration of Ukraine has already begun and international partners are already taking an active part in it.
The ambassador added that “in order to maintain the confidence of the parliamentarians of the countries that allocate these funds, Ukraine needs to be a model for preventing and fighting corruption, the rule of law and good governance.”
The government of Ukraine has a plan for the development of Ukraine after the war.
