Berlin said that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Germany has delivered 30 Gepard self-propelled guns to Ukraine.
Already in August, Ukraine can expect to receive ammunition for Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, which Germany transferred to the Ukrainian military. This was announced on Monday, May 1, by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, writes DW.
At the same time, Scholz emphasized that Ukraine cannot use weapons provided by Germany to shell Russian territory.
“These policies are followed by other Western states that provide weapons to Ukraine to counter the Russian attack,” explained the Chancellor, adding that with all the necessary assistance, everything must be done to prevent a war between Russia and NATO.
According to the list of weapons transferred to Ukraine, Germany sent Ukraine 34 Gepard launchers with 6,000 rounds of ammunition and plans to transfer three more launchers with 300,000 rounds of ammunition.
Recall that the German government began purchasing Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts to resupply the Bundeswehr after the equipment was transferred to Ukraine.
Germany, as part of military aid to Ukraine, transferred two more Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns.
