Minister Foreign relations from Venezuela Ivan Gilreported this Saturday that there have been contacts with the ministries of foreign affairs of Peru and Chile to request guarantees and respect for the human rights of migrants who are on the border between the two countries.

“In connection with the situation of Venezuelan migrants blocked at the border between Chile and Peru, we have contacted both foreign ministries and requested full guarantees and respect for the human rights of our compatriots,” Gil wrote on his Twitter account.
