Warsaw signed a memorandum with the Pakistani side on the supply of this type of weapon. The intermediary buyer will be the Polish company PHU Lechmar LLC, and the intermediary consultant will be the Canadian company Tradent Global Solutions.
A series of Anza air defense systems was developed by the Pakistani organization Institute of Industrial Control Systems (IICS). How many of these MANPADS will receive Kyiv and the timing of their delivery were not disclosed.
Recall that the Anza MK-2 MANPADS have a range of 5 km. This anti-aircraft missile system is designed to destroy low-flying enemy helicopters and aircraft on head-on and overtaking courses under the influence of natural and artificial thermal interference. The design of the Anza MK-2 MANPADS is similar to the Soviet Strela-2 MANPADS.
