Unknown, probably supporters of the UOC-MP, damaged the shutters of the premises sealed by the Ministry of Culture, Yulia Girdvilis, a representative of the Kyiv police, told Grazhdansky in a commentary.

They had to finally leave the monastery on March 29 in connection with the termination of the lease agreement by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine due to numerous violations. The police are keeping order.
Today, the commission of the Ministry of Culture visited the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and examined the condition of the objects previously used by the UOC (MP).
According to the Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko, despite the protests of the representatives of the UOC, they managed to see three sights (two of national importance, one of local importance). Namely – the gallery to the Near caves, the bell tower on the Near caves, the entrance to the gallery of the Near caves.
The doors of the buildings were closed, so in the presence of acting. The General Director of the National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” Maxim Ostapenko, with the help of appropriate means, technical workers provided the Commission with access to these premises.
Tkachenko noted that the photos speak eloquently about the condition of the objects. He also noted that the adoption of fire-fighting measures by the tenant was not recorded.
Despite the end of the lease agreement, from March 29, the UOC-MP will refuse to leave the Lavra.
