Flooding in Ukraine led to transport problems in 30 settlements in the Chernihiv and Kyiv regions.

As of April 18, the hydrological situation in the country is under control. 1,564 household farms remain flooded in Chernihiv, Kirovograd, Dnepropetrovsk, Kyiv, Cherkasy and Poltava regions. Also, 330 houses were flooded in five regions, most of all in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was reported in the State Emergency Service.
In Dnepropetrovsk, Volyn, Rivne, Cherkasy and Poltava regions, 9 thousand 138 hectares of agricultural land are still flooded.
The State Emergency Service noted that a decrease in the rate of water level rise is observed in the rivers in the north of the country. And an increase in the water level within the rivers Vit, Dnieper, Desna, Seim, Sozh, Pripyat, Horyn and Western Bug is observed in the territories of Volyn, Dnepropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Kiev, Kirovograd, Rivne, Poltava, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions.
Meanwhile, the Kyiv city state administration said that the peak of floods in the capital is expected on April 22. In this regard, further flooding of recreational areas on Trukhanov Island, Hydropark, Muromets Park and partial flooding of the garden and summer cottages of Voskresensky Gardens, Rusanovsky Gardens, Osokorky, Poznyakov, Cherries are possible.
Recall, on April 16, the State Emergency Service showed a video of a flight over the territory of the Brovary district of the Kyiv region, where water blocked some roads and entrances to residential buildings near the village of Pogreby.
