“The contradictions that have occurred between the various security agencies of the African country in recent months have escalated into an open armed confrontation on the streets of Khartoum and other Sudanese cities,” the report said.
Shootings were reported from the capital in the districts of Erkevit, around the General Staff and near the residence of the head of the Sovereign Council, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.
Both sides are said to be using heavy weapons.
