Ukrainians are preparing for the translation of clocks.
1996 in Ukraine, it was fixed at the legislative level that Ukrainians will switch to winter time on the last Sunday of October at 4.00 am, and to summer time – on the last Sunday of March at 3.00 am.
In 2023, this will happen on March 26th. On the night of Saturday, March 25, to Sunday, March 26, in Ukraine it will be necessary to turn the clock forward one hour.
Most electronic gadgets can switch to daylight saving time on their own. But mechanical watches or devices that do not have an Internet connection must be translated manually.
In Ukraine, there have been attempts to cancel the transition to winter and summer time, but when they failed, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, said that the parliament would return to the discussion on changing the clock later.
Together with Ukraine, most European countries pass into summer and winter time.
The time change aims to make efficient use of daylight and save energy resources. Winter time is considered standard time, that is, one that is natural for a certain territory.
A number of countries around the world do not change their clocks and live according to winter time. Opponents of the clock shift argue that the economic benefits of shifting the hands are allegedly insufficiently proven, which can have a negative impact on people’s health.
