In the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers, Ukrainian clinics work in a single medical space, so a large number of military personnel are returned to civilian hospitals. Tatyana Lomakina, Advisor-Presidential Plenipotentiary for Accessibility to the President of Ukraine, said this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
Lomakina noted that medical institutions of various forms of ownership may be involved in rehabilitation work.
“They can create modern conditions and receive payment for providing rehabilitation services from the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU). We are interested in ensuring that people receive the best services,” he said. .

“Today, a very wide range of institutions receive rehabilitation packages from NSZU. These are private, state, and municipal institutions,” Lomakina emphasized.

In Khmelnitsky, doctors performed an open-heart operation on a wounded soldier. It was also reported that the surgeon removed an unexploded grenade from the soldier’s body.
