NABU announces the exposure of a criminal organization led by the former head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, whose members seized more than UAH 500 million from 2019 to 2021. funds of JSC “Odessa Port Plant” and JSC “United Mining and Chemical Company”.
This was announced today, March 22, by the press service of NABU.
At the same time, the amount of unlawful benefits received by members of the criminal organization during the entire period of control of OPP JSC is more than UAH 2 billion, the anti-corruption department notes.
During this period, the State Property Fund was headed by Dmitry Sennichenko. During his tenure, he handed over to NABU persons who offered bribes three times, informing the public about this. In particular, in one of the cases it was about a bribe in the amount of 5 million dollars. for the appointment of the Director of the OPP.
As detectives and prosecutors later discovered, the then head of the State Property Fund reported on the facts of providing unlawful benefits in order to eliminate “competitors” at OPP and OGCC and other enterprises from the field of the State Property Fund – if only the company controlled by his criminal organization could earn. This is evidenced by the documents discovered during the investigation.
According to NABU, the criminal organization headed by Sennichenko also included nine other people:
- a person close to him (co-organizer of the scheme);
- Advisor to the Chairman of the State Property Fund;
- two i. O. Director of JSC “Odessa Port Plant” (in different periods);
- And. O. Head of JSC “United Mining and Chemical Company”;
- two owners of LLC – the winner of the auction at the OPP;
- two individuals are accomplices in the crime.
The crime is qualified under Part 1 of Art. 255 (as amended by the Law of Ukraine dated 04/05/2001 No. 2341-III), part 2 of Art. 255, part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code.
Former and. O. the director of the “OPZ” and the adviser to the ex-governor of the State Property Fund were detained, one suspect was handed the suspicion personally, the other seven, including Sennichenko, received suspicions in absentia.
